Everett McCorvey, a native of Montgomery, Alabama, received his degrees from the University of Alabama. He is the producer and executive director of UK Opera Theatre and Artistic Director for The National Chorale in New York City. He is also founder and director of the American Spiritual Ensemble. He and Dr. James Rodgers started the Grand Night tradition 30 years ago. He serves as Vice Chair of the Kentucky Arts Council. Dr. McCorvey was honored to be the 2018 recipient of the prestigious UK Libraries Medallion for Intellectual Achievement and the 2020 recipient of the Southeastern Athletic Conference Faculty Achievement Award from the University of Kentucky. everettmccorvey.com
