Soprano, Cynthia Lawrence is the University of Kentucky Endowed Chair in Voice. Her operatic roles include Madame Butterfly, Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Maddelena in Andrea Chenier, Lady Macbeth, Tosca, Elettra in Idomeneo, Musetta and Mimi in La Boheme, Roxanne in Cyrano de Bergerac and Lavinia in Mourning Becomes Electra, at the Metropolitan Opera, Washington National Opera, The Royal Opera House, Lyric Opera Chicago, Paris Opera, Opera Geneva, Atlanta Opera, and other opera companies in the US, Europe, South America, the Middle East and Asia. Cynthia performed with Luciano Pavarotti over 70 times in Concert and Opera. Her students are singing at the Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera Chicago, Santa Fe, Central City, Bayrishes Staatsoper, Munich Opera and other notable companies. She was a soloist and speaker in the DVD A Tribute to Pavarotti: One Amazing Weekend in Petra.
