Barry Wood (Writer) Barry Wood, an optometrist and amateur playwright, lives in Lincolnshire in the UK. After coming third in last year’s competition he was thrilled to hear that he has had another of his plays chosen for this year’s 8x10 TheatreFest. “It’s nice to think that the people of Ohio share my sense of humour,” he said. He has been fortunate to have had his short plays performed all over the world, but Weathervane Playhouse is special to him as it was the first overseas theatre to put on one of his plays, Schrodinger’s Cash, in 2016. He would particularly like to thank Melanie Pepe and Scott Davis for their encouragement over the years and also Kevin Lambes and Adam C. Alderson for directing this year’s festival. He hopes you enjoy Doppelganger but if you don’t then perhaps someone who looks just like you will.
