James Boyd, Jr.
Carpenter

James Boyd, Jr. (Carpenter) James E. Boyd, Jr., is a Cleveland native who has been active in the performing arts from a very young age. Weathervane audiences last saw him in The Color Purple. James started acting at Karamu House, where he performed in such productions as God’s Trombones, Force Continuum, Ruined, and Christmas Is Comin’ Uptown. James also worked as a Resident Actor with Playwright-In-Residence Micheal Oatman in the T.O.P.S. program, which toured to many schools in the Cleveland area. He would later play the role of Boy Willy in August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson at True North Theatre. James has also been in several movies and TV series such as Crime Stoppers, for which he received an Emmy in 2015. He has also been in movies such as Spider-Man, Transformers, The Avengers, and Boot Tracks just to name a few. Most recently, he was featured in The Luckiest Girl in the World produced by Handmade Films. James is very excited to be returning to the stage and hopes you enjoy the show.
