EMILY GIMBLE (Keys) An Austin-based singer, pianist, and songwriter, Emily is a six-time Best Pianist/Keyboardist winner at the Austin Music Awards, and in 2020, she was Texas State Musician of the Year. Emily has appeared three times on Austin City Limits. Born into a musical family, she developed her own style and focused on piano and voice after high school. 

Emily's career took off with the 2005 release of A Case of the Gimbles, where she toured with her father and grandfather. After the Gimbles tour, Emily garneed the attention of Austin’s best musicians. She joined the Marshall Ford Swing Band, and Warren Hood and the Goods In 2013, The Warren Hood Band album was released, and the group, including Emily, toured with Hayes Carll as his backing band. In 2014, Emily joined the GRAMMY Award-winning Asleep at the Wheel, which led to repeat appearances on Austin City Limits. The band’s 2015 release Still the King found Emily singing backup for Amos Lee and a duet with one of her heroes, Merle Haggard.

In 2017 Emily released her first EP Certain Kinda.She has performed and/or recorded with Doyle Bramhall II, Rodney Crowell, George Strait, Sheryl Crow, Margo Price, Paula and Willie Nelson, Sir Robert Plant, Floyd Domino, Amy Helm, and The Bluebonnets. From her home in Lockhart, Texas, Gimble continues to write, study, teach, and seek music daily.
