Kristy McInnis
Drums

KRISTY MCINNIS (Drums) Kristy McInnis is a powerhouse drummer known for her hard-hitting style and impeccable timing. Growing up in Missouri, she inherited her passion for drumming from her father, a jazz drummer who deeply influenced her. During her college years, Kristy showcased her drumming, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter talents in various bands.

Her music career began in the Midwest, where she was part of the popular punk-pop band, the Smarties, and collaborated with renowned musicians like D. Clinton Thompson and Lou Whitney. Kristy also started her own band, Swetty Betty, and received mentorship in songwriting from Oscar-winning composer Tommy Whitlock.

Moving to LA, she joined the Delphines, with Kathy Valentine and Dominique Davalos and also played drums for indie rock bands EZ Tiger, the Randies, and the Evangenitals while working as an unscripted television producer.
Later, in Austin, Kristy reunited with Kathy, Dominique, and guitarist Eve Monsees, forming the blues rock group, the Bluebonnets. The band toured with the Waterboys and Gary Clark Jr, and even played at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH. Currently residing in Austin, Kristy continues to play with the Bluebonnets, and is showcasing her drumming talent in Head Over Heels at ZACH Theatre.
