WELCOME TO CURTAIN CALL!
" We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
Sir Winston Churchill
Thanks for being here for THE MOUSETRAP!
Being a huge murder mystery fan, the Agatha Christie collection has always been among my favorites. The Mousetrap - the longest running play in history - is obviously her best known.
I was fortunate to see the show in London several years ago - (it has never played on Broadway, though that will likely change in the very near future) - produced it here many years ago, and have seen it at several other theatres, too, but I still love watching the story unravel.
But there's another mystery afoot: how to entice our friends and fans - and those we don't yet know - to open their wallets to support Curtain Call, Stamford's longest running and only, year round, nonprofit producing theatre.
Those of you who have been around here for a while know that the 10-year run of a county-wide Giving Day came to an end last year. A State arts funding program also was re-tooled supporting only 17 of the 100+ theatres in the state.
Mystery solved! Rally the troops and launch a new type of Giving Day. Watch for details very soon!
As a nonprofit arts organization, we always need financial support from friends and fans. This has never been more true than over the past several Covid years. We are back to normal levels of producing but audience numbers are still below pre-pandemic norms. We don't want to cheap out on sets and costumes, etc., so we still need your help.
Asking for money is not fun - but a necessary task in my job. I truly hope you can help.
I would love to have you on our Giving Day team - it's really simple as I can supply you with an email template to send friends and family. Let me know if you can help: lou@curtaincallinc.com
For now, enjoy the show and thanks for your support!
