Welcome To the JLC!

Thank you for joining us for our Spring 23 Performing Arts Series. We are really excited about the season, which truly includes something for everyone - family programming, dance, and multiple world-class musicians.

This season is special to me as it's the first one that I programmed since joining the JLC as Executive Director. In planning the season, I was looking for both variety and artistic integrity. Every artist we're presenting is truly amazing and we're honored to be bringing some of the best musicians in the world to Lake County. We're sure you'll love everything you see on our stage so we encourage you to take a chance, buy a ticket, and join us for another show!

We'd also like to know more about you. What do you like? What would you like to see more of? Please fill out our audience survey to let us know if you want more of a specific genre or type of program. We appreciate your input.

Enjoy the show!

Warm regards,

Alisa Baum, Executive Director

About Chicago Dance Crash
Founded in 2002, Chicago Dance Crash has emerged as a critical staple of the local and national scene, engaging audiences and broadening the exposure of hip hop/contemporary dance. With a unique fusion of both classic and street styles, Crash continues to impress fans with exciting repertory, innovative productions and jaw-dropping freestyles. Headed by artistic director Jessica Deahr, the company has grown to receive critical acclaim throughout its 21 years with even more to come including their Sneaker Ball Benefit Saturday June 17 at Visceral Dance Center, Millennium Park Residency Sunday July 23, and "Evolution" at Ruth Page Center for the Arts September 8 and 9.

About Today's KTF - "Keeper of The Floor"
Chicago Dance Crash blurs the line between art and entertainment with the “Keeper of The Floor.” KTF matches competitive dance with the spectacle of sports entertainment, featuring some of Chicago’s most accomplished dancers battling it out for YOUR vote. Aside from getting to pick their opening solo, the dancers have no idea what the rounds will entail, who they'll be teamed up with, or what song will play as they freestyle their way to the final round. Your host Mr. Mattrick Swayze will guide you and the dancers through the show as YOUR applause decides who wins the golden KTF title belt!
