Auditioning for the 2003 series of American Idol® was a life-changing decision for Kimberley Locke. She successfully passed the audition and became a firm fan favorite, eventually placing third. Kimberley signed to Curb Records immediately after her American Idol journey, where she became a successful recording artist. She released three full-length albums, has eight Top 20 Adult Contemporary singles, four #1 Dance hits (Including one international dance hit “Feel the Love”) and was coined the Queen of Christmas by Billboard Magazine.
After American Idol, Kimberley went on to model for Lane Bryant and Ford Modeling Agency. She has been a co-host on many of television's top talk shows, including Good Day L.A. and The View. In 2010, Kimberley was a participant in VH1's Celebrity Fit Club. After the show, she became a spokeswoman for Jenny Craig. Most recently, Kimberley was the co-host and producer of her very own talk show titled, The Dr. & The Diva on the newly launched network DABL, a division of CBS.
In 2013 Kimberley created her web-based cooking show, What's Cooking With Kimberley, to explore health-conscious and savory recipes. Her acumen for cooking has launched into a world of celebrity chefs and kitchen accessories. She now is the co-host and side kick to legendary Chef Emeril Lagassé on his new infomercial series, Emeril Everyday. These two are always up to some fun in the kitchen!
Throughout Kimberley's robust and expansive career, she found her passion for helping others. In addition to giving back to the community, Kimberley works as a success coach, where she helps you identify your strengths and weaknesses, create a plan to work towards your goals, and provide you with the tools you need to get there.
Using personal experience as motivation to help other artists, Kimberley founded I AM Entertainment in 2011. Her goal: put artists first. I AM Entertainment offers tailored services to nurture artists' talent, develop their craft, and establish their business.
No matter where her entrepreneurial spirit takes her she will always be a singer at heart. In the winter 2019, Kimberley was personally invited by Kristin Chenoweth to perform in her one-woman show For The Girls, where she received her first standing ovation on Broadway. In February of 2020 Kimberley launched her one woman show in NY titled, The Sum of All Parts. The show was co-written with her dear friend David Galligan. Through storytelling and song she takes you on an intimate journey down her very own yellow brick road…from growing up bi-racial, to being swept up into a tornado called American Idol, to finding herself in the music that flowed throughout her life. This show will leave you feeling in awe and inspired while at the same time wanting more. Needless to say, these are two moments that she will never forget.
