Our Friday night concerts featuring the star-studded Heifetz Institute faculty. The complimentary pre-concert “Heifetz Happy Hour”—offering the finest regional wine, beer, and other light refreshments—moves indoors in 2025 to the air-conditioned comfort of Pearce Science Center. This program opens with 3 Madrigals, H.313 by Bohuslav Martinů, a spirited duo for violin and viola. Next, faculty groups take on a pair of stunning piano quintets: Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 57, and Elgar’s Piano Quintet in A minor, Op. 84.
