Welcome from the Music Director

Casanovas and Foxy Mama’s,

The KSO closes its 30th Anniversary season tonight, with a nostalgic and 'far out' musical trip to a unique era/style of music.  Disco united people of all walks, created wild fashion (threads), and brought back studio strings and horns to a prominent role in popular song and dance music.

As the KSO looks forward to its 28th summer in Devou and Tower Parks, and entering its fourth decade, of making the concert experience attractive, accessible and affordable — I must thank a small, but mighty staff, area businesses, foundations, corporations, board members, volunteers, musicians and patrons, who over the past 30 years have supported the KSO’s innovative brand of culture and entertainment. You all have allowed the KSO to 'keep on truckin’.  Enjoy the time travel, boogie down, and we’ll “catch you on the flip side.”

Peace out.

James R. Cassidy,
Music Director
