About the Company

Founded in 2007 by choreographer Andrea Miller, GALLIM is a boundary-defying New York City dance company celebrated for its visceral physicality and cross-disciplinary artistry. GALLIM awakens the imaginations of audiences worldwide through live performances, educational programming and community initiatives.

GALLIM's work has captivated audiences across the globe with acclaimed performances at venues including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, New York City Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Jacob's Pillow, Théâtre National de Chailot, Teatre Grec, White Cube, Grand Central Station, and Yale Schwarzman Center.

Through the GALLIM School of Movement, the company extends its creative philosophy and methodology to artists of all levels, cultivating a community that celebrates collaboration, curiosity, and the transformative power of dance. GALLIM has also partnered with leading college and universities including the Julliard School, Harvard University, Barnard College, NYU, Purchase College, Marymount Manhattan College, San José University, and UC Santa Barbara sharing its distinctive approach to movement with the next generation of artists and thinkers.

About Andrea Miller

Andrea Miller (Founder/Artistic Director) Choreographer Andrea Miller is the artistic director and founder of GALLIM, a New York City-based dance company dedicated to dance making, dance education, and community building. A creator and collaborator for dance, film, fashion, and the visual arts, Miller is known for her exploration of the essential elements of human existence and the alchemy of movement and performance. Her works are performed worldwide including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, the Joyce Theater, Jacob's Pillow, BAM, the Wallis, Guggenheim Museum, White Cube, the Victorian and Albert Museum, Royal Albert Hall, Sadler's Wells Theatre, and Théâtre National de Chaillot de Paris among others. Recent commissions and collaborations include English National Ballet, New York City Ballet, Martha Graham Dance Company, Hermès, A.I.M. by Kyle Abraham and Rambert. Film collaborations include celebrated directors Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, Xavier Dolan, Ezra Hurwitz, Bat-Sheva Guez, and long time collaborator Ben Stamper. Her collaborations in fashion and brands include multiple collaborations with Hermès as well as VOGUE, Bergdorf and Goodman, SportsMax, KSwiss, Lacoste, Target, Max Mara, Calvin Klein, Crate & Barrel, SLS Hotels Miami and Las Vegas, and Beautiful Destinations.

Ms. Miller is a Guggenheim, Sadler's Wells, New York City Center, and Princess Grace Fellow. Her repertory, creative methodology, and dance training are taught through GALLIM's School of Movement as well as institutions including the Julliard School, New York University, and Harvard among others. Miller is a graduate of the Julliard School and serves on the board of Chelsea Factor and the Doris Humphrey Foundation.
