Welcome

Welcome to Operatini: Witches and Brews—a lively dinner-theater night filled with music, cocktails, and Halloween fun. Whether you’re new to opera or a longtime fan, this event is a great way to dive into something different. This Operatini blends opera, musical theater, and art songs, all performed by top talent from Idaho—many of whom have shined on stages across the U.S. and Europe.

Operatini began as an opportunity to enjoy live performances alongside martinis inspired by upcoming productions. Now, it’s grown into a series of events with even more drink choices and unique experiences. For this Halloween-themed night, enjoy two specialty cocktails:

  • Phantom of the Opera – Empress gin, Lillet Blanc, and a lemon twist
  • Witches Chorus – Vodka, apple mix, and a caramel drizzle

Please note: All drinks, including the special cocktails, are sold separately. Dinner and the performance are included with your ticket.

Pair your drinks with a delicious buffet dinner crafted to match the evening’s spooky vibe:

  • Chicken cutlet with roasted peppers and thyme in a tomato coulis*
  • Squid ink risotto
  • Honey-roasted pumpkin
  • Mixed green salad with assorted dressings
  • Rolls with butter
  • Chocolate pot de crème topped with a marzipan skull and tombstone

*Vegan and gluten-free option: Breaded eggplant with roasted tomato coulis, peppers, and thyme

Operatini has grown from its early days as private events, like “Bellini, Puccini Martini,” created by former Executive Director Julie Kilgrow. It became a public ticketed series in 2009 under Mark Junkert’s leadership. Now, with General Director Stacey Trenteseaux leading the way, Operatini is evolving once again, offering fresh experiences and bold performances.

With three more Operatinis coming up this season, there are plenty of chances to join us for more unforgettable nights. Be sure to catch our final Operatini on May 22, 2025, when guest soprano Kirstin Chavez presents Carmen Inside Out—a one-woman show that will leave a lasting impression. Don’t miss it!
