While she was born in Athens, Georgia, it was Peyroux’s teenage years touring the streets of Europe as a jazz musician that defined her and catalyzed a storied career. She sang vintage jazz and blues songs before finding mainstream success in 2004 when her album Careless Love sold half a million copies.
