Boston Symphony Chamber Players

The acclaimed Boston Symphony Chamber Players return to the Shalin Liu Performance Center with a luminous program that highlights the rich colors and textures of woodwinds, strings, and harp. From the delicate interplay of clarinet and harp in Loeffler’s Timbres oubliés to the atmospheric beauty of Debussy’s Sonata for flute, viola, and harp, the afternoon explores a palette of impressionist and neoclassical sounds. Works by Koechlin and Saint-Saëns offer lyrical charm and refined wit, while Françaix’s sparkling Dixtuor brings the full ensemble together in a joyful, effervescent finale.
