Emily Mullen is an junior instrumental music education major and history minor here at Shenandoah Conservatory. She has been playing violin since age four and picked up viola in middle school. Last spring, she made the switch to viola and has fallen in love with the rich timbre. Emily performs in a wide variety of ensembles on campus including Symphony Orchestra, Pit Orchestra, and many more. Emily is incredibly grateful for the support of her teachers and would like to thank Ginger Paris, Gina DiCarlo, Chris Sexton, Doris Lederer, Akemi Takayama, Emanuele Andrizzi, Jonathan Noyalas, and the music education faculty. She would also like to thank her wonderful parents, Jason and Melodie, Nana, Izzy, and her partner, Logan for their support over the years and for always encouraging her to pursue her passions.
Josh Pryor is from the studio of Julian Schwarz. This recital is presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a Performance Certificate (Cello).
