Program Note

by Maximiliano Fernández Escalona

Late Fragment

This is the world premiere of the piece! It is inspired by a poem featured in the British Museum's exhibition Living and Dying. Raymond Carver’s text reflects on a life well lived, and the desire to be loved and accepted. Max would like to thank Tess Gallagher and The Wylie Agency for their permission to set this beautiful poem to music for this recital.
