Inspired by a quote from 13th-century poet Rumi, Reflection is a composition that entices the listener on a journey through life and the surrounding universe. Motivated by the piano, the harmony twists and turns with a sense of expansion within the expanse and the ever-present movement of the eighth note motor. The tenor saxophone soloist plays the role of the wanderer navigating through fields of nostalgia with amnesiac discovery.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. As the sound waves travel through space decorating time, where does your mind wander? Return to the root of your soul.
