Originally from Macon, Georgia, Dagny began her early dance training at the Madison Studio of Dance Education under Jane Madison. At 15, she was invited to study with the Atlanta Ballet pre-professional program on merit scholarship. While there, she had the opportunity to perform alongside the Atlanta Ballet in works by Yuri Possokhov, Johan Kobborg, and George Balanchine. Prior to joining Alabama Ballet, Dagny had the opportunity to dance professionally with Bossov Ballet Theater and Louisville Ballet as a studio company member, performing soloist roles in ballets by Val Caniparoli, Robert Curran, and Adam Hougland. Some of Dagny’s favorite roles and performances include Cygnet in Pas De Quatre in Robert Curran’s Swan Lake, fouetté girl in Herald Lander’s Etudes, as well as George Balanchine’s Serenade and Emeralds. Dagny is currently completing her first season as an apprentice with the Alabama Ballet and is excited to be continuing her apprenticeship for another season.
