David Sciannella born in Lanham , Maryland. Holds a BM from the Catholic University ( Washington ,DC ) , and a MM from The Eastman School of Music. He leads an active Freelance career in the Washington- Baltimore – Northern Virginia area. He is Principal Trombone of The National Philharmonic at Strathmore Hall, The Lancaster Symphony ,The National Gallery Orchestra and Second Trombone in the Annapolis Symphony. He is former trombonist and Euphonium soloist with The Washington Symphonic Brass and can be heard on several of their CD’s, David often subs with the Baltimore Symphony, the National Symphony, and the Harrisburg Symphony.
For 15 years he was Professor of Trombone at the George Washington University and now just teaches at his own private low brass studio. He also owns and operates a brass instrument repair shop. He lives in Silver Spring with his two daughters. In his free time he enjoys golf and his vegetable garden.
