As Barter Theatre begins its 90th season, it is a good time for a reflection on Barter’s impact on my life. I began my career at Barter Theatre in 2005 with a reading of My River, My Valley for AFPP and went on to recreate the role in a full production in 2006 with Mary Lucy Bivins, Michael Poisson and directed by Katy Brown. So it seems wildly appropriate to be here now doing The Last Romance with Mary Lucy, Michael and Katy - 18 years and 107 productions later. It’s been amazing, fulfilling, challenging, rewarding and unforgettable. I’ve grown, I’ve pushed, I’ve done more than I ever thought possible. Thank you to everyone along the way, the actors, directors, crew, staff, designers and especially the audiences that trusted me and allowed me into their hearts. Whoo hoo - what a ride!
