Maggie is from Cleveland, TN. Maggie has played the clarinet since the sixth grade and has been a member of the CYS for four years, participating in both their symphony and chamber ensembles. Alongside this, she is also part of Lee University’s Wind Ensemble, the Chattanooga Clarinet Choir, and is a four-time TMEA All-State Musician. Maggie anticipates pursuing a Major in Nutrition and Dietetics and Minor in Music at Samford University this fall. In her free time, Maggie enjoys baking, playing with her dog, Buddy, and spending time with her friends and family.

What is your advice to someone considering auditioning for the CYS?
Be confident! It's easy to undermine your skill and technique without giving yourself the credit you deserve. Embrace a healthy sense of pride in your abilities. Being part of the orchestra is an exciting and rewarding experience—one that allows you to connect with new people, build a strong sense of community, and, most importantly, create beautiful music together.
