Cade Carter is a violinist studying with Sandy Yamamoto at the University of Texas at Austin. He began playing at the age of 7 and has grown to love the instrument and studied with Cathlin Reese, Sean O'Neal, and Boson Mo, who inspired him to pursue violin as a career. He was a 1st violin in the Houston Youth Symphony for 3 years, and was a two time TMEA All-State violinist. In 2023, he was a ISMI concerto competition winner at the University of North Texas, and in 2024, he toured South America with the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA). He hopes to continue his growth at UT Austin until his graduation year of 2028, and then continue into a graduate degree, eventually to achieve his goal of a position in a major symphony orchestra to hopefully continue sharing his love for music for the rest of his life.
