Victor Diaz is a rising Junior at Louisiana State University studying percussion. He began studying percussion at the age of 11. He attended Dutchtown High School performing in its Wind Ensemble, competitive Marching Band, and Indoor Percussion Group as a section leader. After watching the Baton Rouge Symphony perform Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique, he fell in love with classical music and committed to studying it. In the Summer of 2024, he attended Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and in 2025, the Aspen Music Festival and School. He currently studies under Dr. Brett Dietz and Shawn Galvin and performs with the LSU Symphony Orchestra, LSU Wind Ensemble, LSU Hamiruge, and LSU Constantinides New Music Ensemble.
