William Voth began cello studies at an early age with Ian Hampton at the Langley Community Music School (LCMS). He performed as soloist with the LCMS orchestra as winner of the 2023 LCMS Concerto Competition and is also a recipient of the Sharon Stevenson Career Development Scholarship. He won a top prize at the 2025 University of Ottawa Concerto Competition, which earned him the opportunity to play Prokofiev’s Sinfonia Concertante with the uOttawa Orchestra. This past summer, he attended Centre Stage Strings at the University of Michigan. William currently studies in the studio of Paul Marleyn at the University of Ottawa.
