Born in Chengdu, China, Meixi Zhou began playing the violin at the age of five. At sixteen, she was admitted to the Sichuan Conservatory of Music’s affiliated high school. Meixi is an avid soloist and chamber music player with experience performing in orchestras as well. Over the years, she has given numerous concerts and collaborated with orchestras. She has also won multiple competitions. 
Meixi has participated in masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Lynn Chang, Simon James, Philip Lewis, Mann-Wen Lo, Sam Fischer, Zhou Qian, Hu Kun, and Isaac Malkin. After graduating from high school, she was accepted by the Royal College of Music, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Manhattan School of Music, San Francisco Conservatory, Indiana Jacobs School of Music, University of Cincinnati(CCM), Boston Conservatory, University of North Texas, and the Moores School of Music in Houston. 
In 2023, she won first place at the Utah Music Teachers Association (UMTA) competition. She is currently studying at Lynn Conservatory under Professor Carol Cole.
