Madison Holtze
Soprano

Lyric Coloratura Soprano Madison Holtze is known for her “liquid, silvery” and “dulcet” soprano voice, and “imbuing [her] characters with great flair.” A student of Julia Broxholm, some of her favorite previous roles include Eurydice (Orpheus in the Underworld,) Serpina (La Serva Padrona,) Mrs. Wordsworth (Albert Herring,) Cinderella (Cendrillon, English Tour,) and Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier.) Holtze has won the Schubert Club scholarship competition, Thursday Musical scholarship competition, the Voices of Vienna scholarship competition and is a four-time winner of the MN NATS scholarship competition. Holtze began her musical journey at the age of 4 on the piano. She switched to violin at age 7, and still actively plays and teaches. She was also an award-winning French Hornist in high school and continued playing in college. During Covid, Holtze maintained a busy singing schedule by teaching, singing jazz and contemporary worship gigs and releasing music collaborations online.
