Emily Green

As a student, orchestral and chamber musician, Emily Green has performed across Australia, the USA, and the UK, working regularly with Opera Australia. Originally born in Sydney, Emily moved to London in 2022 to study on full scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music with Dominic Seldis, Graham Mitchell, and Tom Goodman, after completing her First-class Honours BMus degree from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Historical performance is an interest of Emily’s, studying from Chi-chi Nwanoku, where she has had the opportunity to sit side-by-side with the Academy of Ancient Music and perform in the Academy’s Bach in Leipzig Concert series with Peter Whelen. Emily’s academic publications include Orchestrating gender equality: how female musicians navigate bias to achieve career success with the International Journal of Music Education (in review) with Associate Professor Helen Mitchell, presenting this paper at a conference with the Australian Music and Psychology Filipino-American violinist Noah Arcenas is currently pursuing a Bachelors for Violin Performance at the Eastman School of Music under the tutelage of Yoojin Jang. As an avid performer, Noah performs community concerts throughout the greater Jacksonville and Rochester area to inspire younger musicians. Noah has collaborated with award winning musicians such as Yoojin Jang, Phillip Ying, and Rosemary Elliot. He also has performed in masterclasses taught by Charles Castleman, Itamar Zorman, Kristian Bezuidenhout, and Pei Shan Lee. Other notable teachers include Kyung Sun Lee, Elinor Freer, David Ying, and Corinne Stillwell.Society in September 2022.

Emily is the recipient of the Chautauqua Women's Club General Scholarship, and the Robert P. Hiller Scholarship Fund.
