Daniel Kirkpatrick has been the Principal Timpanist of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra since 2014. Daniel’s favorite part of his position with the GSO is visiting Greenville County elementary schools to introduce percussion’s role within the orchestra. 

He is the owner of DK Percussion, a percussion repair and manufacturing company and is a leading expert in timpani maintenance and repair. His repair work has recently taken him to Puerto Rico, San Francisco, Atlanta, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC.

Daniel is a graduate of the University of North Texas (BM ’08) and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (MM ’10). He lives in Greenville, SC with his wife, Emily, and their beagle and cockatiel, Teddy and Bird. For more information, please visit dkpercussion.com.
