Xiaoli Saliny join the Greenville symphony in 1994 as a principal second violin. A native Ji-Lin, China, she received her BA in violin performance from ShenYang conservatory of music in 1984 and joined the Central Philharmonic Orchestra of China in Beijing, whose 1986 world tour brought her to this country for the first time. Recipient of a full scholarship to study at the United States International University in San Diego California, she earned her master degree in violin performance where she met her husband cellist, who's also a member of the Greenville symphony. she has performed with Minnesota orchestra, Charlotte symphony, Augusta symphony, Savannah symphony, Hendersonville symphony. She has taught violin at Furman University and in the Greenville community for over 20 years.
