Stacy Fireheart is an accomplished Educator and Lighting Designer specializing in theater, dance, opera, and event lighting. With over 20 years of experience, she has designed and assisted on numerous productions, collaborating with esteemed companies/theaters such as Backhausdance, SoCal Ballet Scene, On the Edge Dance, International City Theatre, Sierra Repertory Theatre, A Noise Within, Rogue Theatre Ensemble, South Coast Repertory Theatre, Utah Shakespeare Festival, and Great River Shakespeare Festival. Passionate about contemporary works that inspire and engage diverse communities, Stacy finds her greatest creative fulfillment in dance lighting design. Since 2017, she has been a vital contributor to dance productions at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), providing lighting design for more than forty shows. In 2021, she was appointed Resident Lighting Designer for Backhausdance. She is excited to expand and continue her dance lighting collaborations this year with SoCal Ballet Scene, Onco-Ballet Foundation, Irvine Barclay Theatre, and Westside Dance Project. In addition to her design work, Stacy is a dedicated educator, currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Long Beach (Dance Department), and University of California, Irvine (Drama Department), where she teaches courses in lighting design and production.
