Everette Harp, saxophone, is one of the leading voices in contemporary jazz, celebrated for his soulful tone and genre-blending style that bridges jazz, R&B, and gospel. Born in Houston and raised in the church, he began playing piano at age two and saxophone at four, later studying music at North Texas State University.

After moving to Los Angeles in 1988, Harp quickly became a sought-after sideman, performing and recording with artists such as Anita Baker, Kenny Loggins, Luther Vandross, and George Duke. He launched his solo career in the early 1990s with Blue Note Records, earning acclaim for albums that fused smooth jazz with funk and urban influences.
