Gabrielle Mengden

Gabrielle Mengden trained at Allegro West Academy of Dance in Houston before earning scholarships to Houston Ballet and the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School, where she studied under Romona de Saá. She performed at the International Ballet Festival of Havana in 2015 and received top honors at major competitions, including Youth America Grand Prix, New York City Dance Alliance, American Ballet Competition, and Dance Masters of America, where she was named Grand National Champion. After attending the Oklahoma City Ballet Summer Intensive in 2018, she joined the Studio Company and later rose to Soloist. Now a freelance artist, instructor, and dental assistant, Mengden has performed leading roles in works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Septime Webre, Val Caniparoli, Alexander Ekman, Stephen Mills, and Gerald Arpino.
