Principal Dancer with San Francisco Ballet

Wona Park was born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1999. She joined San Francisco Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet in 2017. She was promoted to soloist in 2018 and to principal dancer in 2020.  

She has danced in Helgi Tomasson's Don Quixote (Kitri); Sleeping Beauty
(Aurora); Swan Lake (Odette, Odil); Nutcracker ( Sugar Plum, Snow Queen, Grand Pas); Bournonville's La Sylphide (the sylph); Balanchine's Serenade (waltz couple) etc...

Her awards include: Youth America Gran Prix: 3rd prize on senior pas de deux;  2012 Sicilla Barocca: Grand prix prize; 2014 Seoul International Competition: 1st Prize on senior women.
