Constantine Allen was born in Indianapolis, IN. Before his first birthday, he moved to Hawaii, where he saw the musical Cats at the age of four. He was instantly enchanted, and when the curtain fell, he knew he wanted to become a dancer. From the age of five, he took ballet lessons and then studied at the Pacific Ballet Academy in Honolulu and at Ballet Hawaii. In 2007, he won the bronze medal at the Youth American Grand Prix finals in New York and a scholarship to study at the Kirov Ballet Academy in Washington. In 2010, he continued his studies at the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart. In 2011, Constantine won the Grand Prix at the Tanzolymp competition in Berlin.

After graduating in 2012, he joined Stuttgart Ballet as a member of the corps de ballet. Six months later, he was promoted to soloist, and in 2014, he was promoted to principal dancer. In 2017, he switched to Les Grands Ballets des Canadiens.

In February 2018, Constantine was a guest principal with the Dutch National Ballet in Alexei Ratmansky’s Don Quixote. Six months later, he joined the company as a principal dancer. The British magazine Dance Europe mentioned him in both 2019 and 2020 in its annual Critics’ Choice, in the category "Outstanding Performance by a Male Dancer."
