Dave McAfee's journey into drumming began in the 3rd grade during his school years. By middle school, he found his rhythm with Vic Firth sticks while playing in the concert band. Remaining faithful to Vic Firth sticks from the outset, McAfee discovered that anything else simply didn't feel right. He participated in marching bands, notably the Massillon/Washington High Tiger Swing Band, and later in the Ohio University 110. He moved to the Oklahoma/North Texas area in 1984 and began his professional career touring with Mason Dixon in 1986. McAfee moved to Nashville in 1994 and played with major label acts until getting the job with Toby Keith in 2000. The thrill of performing for massive audiences became McAfee's passion, and he considers himself fortunate to continue entertaining sold-out crowds at nearly every show. Today, Dave McAfee takes immense pride in being the driving force behind The Hit Men Of Country.
