Kendrick Scott, born in Houston, Texas, emerged from a family of musicians and embraced drumming at age 8. Attending Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, he garnered recognition, winning awards and scholarships. His Berklee College of Music education marked a significant chapter. Scott's diverse career includes touring with icons like Herbie Hancock, Charles Lloyd, and Terence Blanchard. As a Blue Note artist, he led Kendrick Scott Oracle, presenting albums like We Are The Drum (2015) and A Wall Becomes A Bridge (2019). In 2023, his trio release Corridors with Walter Smith III and Reuben Rogers showcases Scott's evolving artistry.
