Joseph Hetzer- Oklahoma City Ballet (Dec. 7-8)

Joseph Hetzer began his dance training at South Bay Ballet in Torrance, California, and was part of the inaugural class at USC’s Glorya Kaufman School of Dance. At USC, he collaborated closely with William Forsythe and explored various movement styles, performing internationally. Hetzer joined Oklahoma City Ballet as a corps de ballet member in 2019, earning a promotion to soloist in 2023. His featured roles include Mad Hatter in ALICE (in wonderland), Gaston in Lady of the Camellias, and the trio in Jessica Lang’s To Familiar Spaces in Dream. He also worked on Penny Saunders’s Jump Cut, which was postponed due to COVID-19. Beyond ballet, Hetzer is a Lululemon Ambassador, a spin instructor at Cyclebar, and teaches at Kim Massay Dance Productions. In 2022, he received Oklahoma’s “NextGeneration Under 30” award for the Arts.
