SSG Esther Kang
Soprano from U.S. Army Chorus

Esther Kang earned a Master of Music in Voice from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she studied with William McGraw as a full scholarship student, and a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Temple University where she studied with Dr. Philip Cho. 

Esther has sung with Charlottesville Opera, Opera Philadelphia, Opera Saratoga, Queen City Chamber Opera, and internationally in Austria and Italy. Her oratorio resume includes works by Britten, Garcia, Vivaldi, Mozart, Gounod, and Handel in both Korean and English. 

Esther has worn many hats in education including teaching music at Cincinnati Country Day School, St Cecelia School, and Purcell Marian High School, graduate assistant in the College Office at CCM, staff leadership, program management, diversity and inclusion, development, community relations and partnerships, as well as teaching private voice, choir, private strings, orchestra, music theory, conducting, and as music director. 

Esther’s voice students have been accepted to prestigious programs including Interlochen Arts Camp for Classical Voice, Berklee College of Music Aspire: Five-Week Music Intensive, Long Lake Camp, CCM Musical Theatre Intensive, CCM Musical Theatre Workshop, CCM Voice Workshop, the Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, and more.
