REV. TALONIE DANIELS
Director of Worship & Arts

Talonie Daniels has been active in ministry since a child; serving in the church choirs, usher board, as the assistant superintendent of Sunday school, in the Christian education department, and in the youth and women’s ministry. She has been a member of The First Cathedral in Bloomfield, Connecticut since 2005 and was ordained in ministry in October 2008 under the leadership of senior Pastor, Archbishop LeRoy Bailey, Jr.

With musicians and singers on both sides of her family, it's no surprise that she's been singing since the age of 3 and directing choirs even before becoming a teen. In the third grade she decided to play the drums and was a percussionist in her elementary and middle school bands. Acting was another passion for Reverend Daniels and she was featured in plays in church, school and participated in the summer youth theater program at The Hartford Stage Company. Rev. Talonie was a featured soloist on The First Cathedral Praises of Zion's album “I Believe” and in 2019 hosted a worship experience where she recorded several original songs live.

Rev. Daniels is the Director of Worship and Arts at The First Cathedral.  She was the vocal director and music coordinator for several of The First Cathedral productions; some have included original music.

She is married to Mark Daniels and they have 3 sons; Marque, Andre’ and Micah and one granddaughter, Zara. Reverend Daniels has accepted her assignment for this season and her desire is to use her music and the teaching of The Gospel to usher God’s creation into His Presence that they may be transformed into His Image (2 Corinthians 3:18).
