Maxim Johnston is a senior at Grace Christian Academy. He has been playing violin for 12 years and currently studies under the instruction of Karen Kartal. Maxim has been a part of the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestras for 10 seasons and performs with the Grace Christian Academy Worship Arts Band and the Grace Baptist Church orchestra. He is also a council member for the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital (Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital) Volunteer Program. This fall, Maxim plans to attend the University of Tennessee Knoxville Tickle College of Engineering where he will major in Biomedical Engineering. He is a recipient of the Volunteer Scholarship and has been accepted into the Chancellor’s Honors Program and Summit Fellows.
