Allison Simpson is a senior at Maryville High School. She has been playing the oboe for 6 years and has been a member of the KSYO for two years. She has studied with Katie Lawson, Zach Millwood, Amy Collins, and Claire Chenette. Her musical accomplishments include 2024 Governor's School participant, 1st chair TMEA All-State 9-10 and 11-12 band, and All-State English horn. She is also a National Merit Finalist and a member of four honor societies. Allison plans to study biochemistry to eventually research type one diabetes in her own lab. She is so thankful for all the wonderful people in her life who have helped her become who she is today.
