Jackson Franklin Shue is a senior at Maryville High School. He studies horn with Dr. Katie Johnson-Webb at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and this is his second year playing with the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra. Jackson has auditioned for and been accepted into the ETSBOA All-East Band and TMEA All-State Band his Freshman, Sophomore, and Senior years. Other than music, he is involved in his school community by participating in Key Club, National Honor Society, and Student Council, serving as Maryville High School’s 2022 Senior Class President. He is also a National Merit Scholar Finalist and an Eagle Scout. Jackson would like to give a special thanks to his parents and grandparents as well as directors Mr. George Hayden, Mr. Jonathan Leichman, and Mr. Adam Ford for all they have done to help him achieve his musical and life goals. As of now, Jackson is planning to attend the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with the National Merit Finalist scholarship package, pursuing a double major in Music and Business with plans to earn a five-year MBA.
