Medb Glatt is a senior at Bearden High School. She has been playing the violin for about twelve years under the instruction of Mary Ann Fennell and has participated in the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra for nine years. She also participated in her school's orchestra since freshman year, taking advantage of opportunities such as ETSBOA's All-State East and All-State and playing in the orchestra for school musicals. In addition, she plays for her church, First Baptist Concord, and in the Knoxville Symphony Youth Chamber Music Program. During the summer, she participates in her teacher's Summer Strings event, where she plays along with other violinists of similar skill levels and teaches younger musicians. Outside of music, Medb participates in tennis, her school's robotics club, and Girls Who Code club. She also volunteers for an organization called Yoke that ministers to middle schoolers. This upcoming fall, Medb hopes to major in Physics but is undecided on where she would like to study. Amongst the colleges she's been accepted to, her top choices are Tulane University and Wake Forest University; however, she hopes to attend Princeton University.
