MAXWELL J DETOGNE (he/him, Maxwell, U/S Jesus) is ecstatic to make his return to Music Theater Works, where he was seen as “Rapunzel's Prince” in INTO THE WOODS and “Lord Evelyn Oakley” in ANYTHING GOES. Most recently he was an ensemble member in Drury Lane's BEAUTIFUL: A CAROLE KING MUSICAL. Other notable past roles in Chicago include “Jesus” in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (Theo); “Rob” in HIGH FIDELITY (Refuge Theatre Project); “Clyde” in BONNIE AND CLYDE (Kokandy); and most recently “Oscar Jaffee” in ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY (Blank Theatre). Recent regional theatre roles include “Dan” in NEXT TO NORMAL, “Jon” in TICK, TICK … BOOM!, and “Robert Kincaid” in BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY. He was fortunate enough to work with the Chicago Shakespeare Theater in the premiere of EMMA right before everything shut down in 2020, and has been more and more appreciative of each moment to create and share.
