STEPHANIE FARINA (she/her, SOUND DESIGNER) is a Chicago based sound designer, musical mixer, and educator. Past sound design credits include: SISTER ACT, BEAUTIFUL, and AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ (Drury Lane Theatre); TITANIQUE (Porchlight Music Theatre); FALSETTO’S (Court Theatre), DREAMGIRLS (McCarter Theatre), REVOLUTION(S), THE COLOR PURPLE, NAICREMA SOCIETY, NEW STAGES 2022, 2023, and 2024 (Goodman Theatre), 25THE ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, and FANNIE (Indiana Repertoire). Associate Sounds Design credits include: LIFE AFTER, MUSIC MAN (Goodman Theatre), FOREVER PLAID, MAMMA MIA!, and 42ND STREET (Drury Lane Theatre), ONCE ON THIS ISLAND (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), FANNIE (Seattle Repertoire, Goodman Theatre), and FUN HOME (Kansas City Repertoire). Stephanie’s mixing credits include: BLUE, TWILIGHT: GODS (Michigan Opera Theatre); PROXIMITY, FACTOTUM, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, TWILIGHT: GODS, WEST SIDE STORY, LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR (Lyric Opera of Chicago), and 10 years at the Goodman Theatre. Stephanie is the Head of Sound Design at The Theatre School at DePaul University, as well as a Journeymen in the IATSE Local 2 of Chicago.
