BOB SANDERS (he/him, Arvide Abernathy) is pleased and excited to be returning to Music Theater Works for the seventh time! Previous appearances include RAGTIME, BRIGADOON, INTO THE WOODS, ANYTHING GOES, THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, and PIPPIN. In 2022, Bob created the role of Chicago mayor “Big Bill Thompson” in the world premiere of MPAACT’s musical epic RED SUMMER. Other Chicago area appearances include Invictus’s 2024 production of NETWORK, Citadel Theatre’s THE EXPLORERS CLUB, THE CHRISTIANS, and ELEANOR’S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS WISH as “Santa Claus,” Blank Theatre Company’s THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, Shattered Globe’s SARAH RUHL’S FOR PETER PAN ON HER 70th BIRTHDAY, MadKap Productions’ FUNNY GIRL, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, and Metropolis’ A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM. In New York, Bob was seen in York Theatre Company’s revival of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and THE LADY’S NOT FOR BURNING, and in the daytime dramas ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Regional theatrical appearances include LONG DAY’S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT, DEATHTRAP, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, TWELFTH NIGHT and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM.
