MELANIE SASO (she/her, Hair, Wig & Makeup Co-Designer)  joined the Music Theater Works’ team in 2022 as a wig runner for IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS and has grown with the company over the years. She serves as Music Theater Works’ hair, wigs and make up department head and is a co-designer for some of its most recent productions. Her design work was featured in THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE and LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. She’s been backstage for shows including: THE PRODUCERS, PIPPIN, BRIGADOON, SHREK, CAROUSEL, and LEGALLY BLONDE. She works as an assistant in the HMUA Department for Northwestern University - Bienen School of Music. She also works in film and specializes in period pieces. She spent this past summer abroad, as a hair designer and department head on film sets in Africa and Europe.
