Stephanie Neely is a ninth-grader at Nicolet Union High School. She has been studying violin with Pamela Simmons for the past four years. Her past teachers include David Anderson and Darcy Drexler.
This is Stephanie’s fourth year in MYSO and is currently a Senior Symphony concertmaster. Stephanie has won the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Bach Double Competition, the MYSO Sinfonia and Philharmonia Concerto Competitions, and has received the WSMA Exemplary Performance Recognition Award.
Stephanie has participated in the MYSO Chamber Ensembles Program and the Summer Chamber Music Conference. This past summer, Stephanie spent two weeks at the Birch Creek Summer Music Academy to partake in their symphony program. She performed various repertoire including Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4, Elgar’s Cockaigne Overture, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, and Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite.
