Madeleine Rhode, born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, started her ballet training at the age of five with the Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy, under Rolando Yanes. She continued her training at summer intensives on scholarship at the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School, and Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet. Rhode was awarded the Schomer Lichtner Scholarship in Milwaukee for her outstanding artistic development and performed in many of Michael Pink’s productions; most notably, Little Red Riding Hood in his 2018 world premiere of Beauty & the Beast and a corps Cygnet in Swan Lake. Upon graduating high school in 2018, she began her career with the Milwaukee Ballet in the Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II Program. During her season there, she performed in George Balanchine’s Serenade and Jewels, as well as performed with the company as a corps member in Michael Pink’s Dracula and The Nutcracker. Rhode joined Ballet Quad Cities in 2019. Since then, she’s performed leading roles in Courtney Lyon’s productions including the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and Alice in Alice in Wonderland. This is her 4th season with the company.
